Welcome to a unique community-led journey along Gosport’s historic waterfront.

The Gosport Marine Festival Heritage Trail invites you to explore six key locations, each rich with local stories, maritime heritage, and the creative energy of Gosport’s people.
Oh where can ye go for a day that is grand?
With music and water and joy close at hand?
Where food, drink, and stories of old come alive?
To Gosport, me hearties, set sail and arrive!

We hoisted the sails with the Seekers bold crew,
Through the Gosport Marine Fest, where old meets the new.
Led by the Trust — Hampshire Cultural, proud,
Lifting up voices, clear, strong, and loud.

With backing from Lottery Heritage’s chest,
And Gosport Council, supporting the quest,
We charted a course through the rich past we share,
Unearthing the stories that float in the air.

The Heritage Generator, steady and true,
A three-year-long voyage with a passionate crew.
Not swooping to fix — no, the treasure’s in sight,
In the people and places already alight.

We worked with the locals, all eager and wise,
With fire in their bellies and stars in their eyes.
From artists to sailors, from bakers to bands,
Together we built with our hearts and our hands.

So raise up your glass to the town by the sea,
Gosport’s the gem where you’re welcome and free.
The past and the present both dance on the tide,
And we’re proud to be part of this joyful ride.

Now onward we sail, with new dreams to chart,
With Gosport’s bold spirit and trust at its heart!
