LET'S GET TALKING!
Life Is For Living

Let’s Get Talking about Suicide Date: Saturday, 6th September 2025 |Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Victoria Park, Portsmouth

Picture
Let’s Get Talking is a free community event that opens up honest conversations around suicide, mental health, and resilience.

Set in a supportive and creative space in Portsmouth's Victoria Park, the day brings together inspiring speakers, lived experience stories, mindful activities, movement workshops, and uplifting performances.
From Speakers’ Corner, where people share real journeys of survival, hope, and strength, to the Mindful and Physical Zones, where you can stretch, breathe, dance, or just slow down there’s something for everyone. Creative workshops, a doodle gallery, and community stalls add to the atmosphere of connection and care.

At its heart, Let’s Get Talking is about reminding each of us that life is for living and no one has to face struggles alone. See below for the event map and event listing.

Messages of Love and Hope Doodle Gallery

As part of this year’s Let’s Get Talking About Suicide event, Seekers Create will transform our tent into a temporary doodled gallery called Messages of Love and Hope. This participatory exhibition invites local artists and communities to respond to the theme through creativity, reflection, and connection. Over the years, we’ve contributed large-scale murals and public artworks at this event—each shaped by conversations, stories, and shared expression. This year, we're bringing it into the heart of the park with a walk-in doodled gallery filled with mixed-media pieces and public contributions.

The feedback we had from previous events has been a positive one with services saying that the community were open to seeking support and those that have lost someone were grateful of the knowledge of a community of people who understood what they were going through.

Following the success of last years community event we will again come together on September 6th 2025 for a day filled with love and hope in Victoria Park Portsmouth. Here’s a link to a short film of previous events.
