Scientists use lots of different ways to show people their information.
One way we are using at the University of Portsmouth is by sound. Here we have a clip of the stars as they start appearing in the night sky. These stars are always there, but we don’t see them in the day because the Sun is so bright. As the Earth rotates away from the Sun, we start to see the stars in our night sky. The sounds we have used to show our data have louder sounds for brighter stars, quieter sounds for dimmer stars, high pitched sounds for bluer stars and lower pitch sounds for the redder stars. |
