Stargazing Live!

​📍 Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
​Join us for an evening of stargazing, exploration, and discovery at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard! This free event, brought to you by the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Hampshire Astronomical Group, University of Portsmouth’s Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, Seekers Create and more, 

What to Expect:
- Telescope Viewing:Peer into the cosmos with guidance from amateur and professional astronomers.  
- Talks and Demonstrations:Learn from experts about the wonders of space, navigation by stars, and cutting-edge space technologies.  
- Interactive Activities: Engage in hands-on games and Space 2 Doodle.
- HMS Warrior: Experience the historic HMS Warrior and discover how sailors of the past navigated the seas.

During the evening you will have the opportunity to take a look through a telescope, learn how sailors navigate by the stars, and find out more about our Universe. Short talks will be given throughout the night on topics within stargazing, cosmology and space. There will be a range of activities to suit all ages, with plenty to do and see whether it’s clear or cloudy.
​🎨 Seekers Create are delighted to be part of this year’s Stargazing event at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard!
Join us in Action Stations on 5th February  6-9pm and journey through the stars as you play Seekers interactive Star Map game.
Plus leave your mark on our Stargazing Live Mural. Seekers Create give you 'Space to Doodle' and together, we can create a mural inspired by the Stars!
